1.Calibration Documents

Documents Certifying Instrument Traceability

If you require documents certifying the traceability of a measuring instrument, a set of three documents is applicable: an inspection certificate, a calibration certificate, and a traceability diagram.

Approach to inspection certificates and related accuracy guarantee

At Hioki, we ensure product quality through design verification during development and process control during production. The inspection certificate lists representative inspection items, but may not include every point a customer requests. Even in such cases, if the overall judgment is marked as “PASS,” the product meets all specified accuracy requirements for its full range, so no additional designation of inspection points is required.

Accuracy guarantee when using multiple products together

When using two or more products together (for example, a power meter and a clamp sensor), an overall judgment of “PASS” on each product’s inspection certificate indicates that the combined accuracy (the sum of each product’s accuracy) is guaranteed. Even without calibrating the combination as a set, individual calibration of each product ensures that the combination continues to meet accuracy specifications.

2.Available Documents

From October 1, 2025, the formats of calibration certificate and traceability chart have been updated, and both Japanese and English versions now use the same standardized format. For further details, please click here.

3. Provision Method

The method of provision varies depending on whether the product is eligible for download or not.

*4: From May 1, 2026, all calibration documents are provided as a "Set of Three Documents" (Calibration Certificate, Traceability Chart, and Test Report). Individual orders will no longer be accepted.

*5: Customer name and customer record number are not indicated on the calibration documentation for general calibration documents.Learn more.

Note

  • There are some products for which only the test report will be issued.
  • For products not eligible for calibration document download, issuance after delivery is available if requested within the specified period below. In such cases, a set of three calibration documents will be issued for a fee. However, please note that issuance may not be possible for certain products. For further details, please contact us.
    • Newly purchased products: Within 15 months from the production month
    • Repaired or calibrated products: Within 15 months from the calibration date
  • If you require printed calibration documents for products eligible for download, please contact us separately.

As of May 1, 2026, the issuance of printed traceability chart (overall) has been discontinued. Please download from the link below.

-3. Other Documents

The following calibration documents can be issued in paper form for a fee. Please place an order if required.

  • Utilized standard calibration data (Japanese only)
  • ISO/IEC 17025 (JCSS) calibration certificates
  • Documents for products with a verification number label instead of a serial number label.
    Example:“21H000”
  • Custom-made calibration documents

4. Download Procedure (free)

After receiving the product, customers can download the calibration documents of the applicable product, free of charge.
