Hioki Selected to Take Part in Nedo Feasibility Study on Green Hydrogen Plant Monitoring in Indonesia

Ueda, Japan, October 7, 2026 – Hioki E.E. Corporation is pleased to announce that a proposal submitted by the Company has been selected as a Feasibility Study Project under NEDO's " Demonstration Research on Condition Monitoring and Efficient Operation of Green Hydrogen Plant Systems" (FY2026 First Call). The study will examine condition monitoring and the efficient operation of green hydrogen plant systems in Indonesia.
The study, conducted by Japan’s New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO), will harness Hioki’s expertise in electrical measurement and data utilization technologies to explore how to tackle the technical barriers to efficient green hydrogen plant operation in Indonesia.
The project will run from FY2026 through March 2027 and aims to assess the technical, economic, and business feasibility of green hydrogen plant systems in Indonesia, as well as examine the potential for a future demonstration project.

Background and Purpose
Green hydrogen is gaining traction as a next-generation clean energy source as decarbonization efforts accelerate around the world. Green hydrogen plant systems, however, continue to face unresolved challenges around stable operation, equipment maintenance, and energy efficiency. Hioki has been selected to participate in this project with the aim of applying its advanced measurement technologies and Mizuho Bank, Ltd.'s data analysis technologies to equipment condition monitoring and operational optimization, working to resolve the technical barriers to highly efficient green hydrogen plant operation
Future Prospects
Through this study, Hioki will evaluate the feasibility of the project from technical, economic, and business perspectives in Indonesia and examine the potential for future demonstration projects. The Hioki Group will continue to contribute to the advancement of energy utilization and the realization of a decarbonized society through measurement technologies.
