This prestigious distinction is granted to companies ranked within the top 35% of all evaluated organizations worldwide.
Hioki previously earned a Silver Medal in the 2021 EcoVadis assessment under the medium-sized companies (M) category (100–999 employees). In the 2025 evaluation, following the expansion of its business operations, the company was assessed under the large-sized companies (L) category, which includes organizations with 1,000 or more employees. This category encompasses larger corporations with advanced sustainability practices, making Hioki's achievement a testament to its unwavering commitment to sustainable business operations and environmental stewardship.

Environment
Since 1988, Hioki has hosted employee-led tree planting festivals as part of regional greening activities. In 1997, the company acquired ISO 14001 certification, further strengthening its environmental management system. Over the years, Hioki has expanded its efforts internationally, including a vegetation restoration project in Kenya.
In 2022, Hioki established the Sustainability Basic Policy and the Hioki Sustainability Declaration, setting ambitious carbon-neutral goals. The company is committed to achieving Scope 1 and Scope 2 carbon neutrality by 2025, coinciding with its 90th anniversary, and Scope 3 carbon neutrality by 2035, coinciding with its 100th anniversary. To achieve these milestones, Hioki has promoted internal initiatives to reduce emissions and achieved investment-based carbon neutrality in fiscal year 2024 by utilizing forest credits and non-fossil certificates. Furthermore, in 2025, Hioki implemented internal carbon pricing, establishing a framework for effective investment decisions that support a sustainable society.
