Winner of the "Energy Innovators Challenge" at Japan Energy Summit 2025: Presented a measurement technology to help reduce the cost of hydrogen production.

Nagano, Japan, 10th September 2025 – Hioki E.E. Corporation is proud to announce that our employee has been honored as the winner for the Future Leaders category of the Energy Innovators Challenge, held during the Japan Energy Summit 2025.

The Japan Energy Summit is an international event that brings together leaders, government officials, and scientists from the energy sector in Japan and abroad to discuss the future of energy. As part of this summit, the Energy Innovators Challenge is a competition where startups and young professionals with innovative ideas present their concepts to industry professionals.

Our engineer, Nor Aziana Aliteh, gave a presentation on the challenge of producing affordable hydrogen. She detailed how the HIOKI Electrolysis Cell Analyzer, equipped with ALDAS (Active Line Device Analysis System) measurement technology, can help to reduce hydrogen production costs. She emphasized the value of the ALDAS measurement technology as a crucial tool to be used alongside the widespread exploration for hydrogen as a new type of energy.

Comments from the Award Recipient

The ALDAS system was designed to address a key challenge in hydrogen production, which is to measure the dynamic impedance process for large-scale electrolyzers for hydrogen production. Integrating this measurement system will not only help identify and solve the problem faced by the hydrogen production process but also help to accelerate research in this field.

The recent challenge was a crucial opportunity for us to promote the potential of our measurement solution. I feel that this is a great opportunity to raise awareness about the importance of measurement technology, a field that is often overlooked yet is indispensable for advancing technology, especially related to energy.

Going forward, we have secured a presentation opportunity at the Japan Energy Summit 2026. We plan to continue our efforts to educate the public on the importance of measurement technology.
