○ Latest software is posted. Keep the instruction manual up-to-date.
○ Do not perform the following operations during the upgrade. Repair is required.
・ Turn off the main unit.
・ Remove the media.
As for version upgrade procedure, please download "Procedure on how to update the firmware" which describes the preparation and procedure for upgrading firmware after downloading the files.
Precaution when updating firmware:
・To conduct the version upgrade, USB memory stick is required.
・During the version upgrade process, don't turn off the power to the MR8848 or don't remove the USB memory stick from the slot.

The current newest software versions are shown below. A version update is highly recommended if you are running older firmware.

Before you proceed
The version numbers of firmware can be checked by viewing the bottom left portion of the startup window when the MR8848 is turned on.
When selecting "System Information" from "Self check" on System screen, the currently running firmware version numbers will appear at the bottom.

Resolved bugs
-Fixed an issue where the system would freeze if level monitor was ON and measurement was continued for a long time, or if waveform text saving was repeatedly executed.
-Fixed an issue where installing the U8975 4ch analog unit could cause overrange on even-numbered channels.
-Fixed an issue where, when the MR8990 DVM unit was installed, only the first block was saved during batch saving of waveform files with memory division.
-Fixed an issue where waveform evaluation area setting files (ARE) could not be saved correctly.
-Fixed an issue where scaling settings were not reflected in the units for numerical calculation High level and Low level.
Added function
-Added the query :SYSTem:INFO:VERSion? to obtain the FPGA version.

Improvement
- Enabled the ability to copy settings file from a PC to the MR8848 via FTP.
Resolved bugs
- Fixed a bug where entering a valid waveform calculation equation resulted in an invalid equation.
- Fixed a bug that caused the device to freeze when the pen setting to up during measurement with the XY recorder.
- Fixed a bug where the calculation results for numerical calculations (Rise Time, Fall Time, Period, Frequency, Time difference, Pulse width) were incorrect when the calculation range was set to "A-B Wave" or "After Trigger."
