Can I change the full-scale value by changing the CT ratio? Will the accuracy and resolution change as a result?

QCan I change the full-scale value by changing the CT ratio? Will the accuracy and resolution change as a result?

A

If you set the CT ratio to 0.4, the CT6844-05 will indicate 200 A when measuring a 500 A current. The change in the CT ratio will not cause the accuracy (rdg. and f.s.) to change. The rdg. error and f.s. error can be calculated relative to the indicated value and the full-scale value after the CT ratio has been applied, respectively. The resolution may differ under certain conditions.

For example, if a CT ratio of 1 while using the 200 A range will result in an indicated value of 200.00 A, then a CT ratio of 0.4 will cause the probe to operate in the 80 A range, yielding an indicated value of 80.000 A.
