Hioki has received a verification opinion (certificate) following an independent verification of the Group’s 2022 greenhouse gas emissions by SGS Japan Inc. based on the ISO 14064-3:2019 standard. Hioki undertook the verification to better allow it to provide highly reliable and transparent data to stakeholders.

In February 2022, Hioki formulated a Basic Policy on Sustainability and the Hioki Sustainability Declaration, which outlines CO₂ emissions targets, reflecting its commitment to help realize a sustainable society. The Hioki Sustainability Declaration adopts the goals of realizing Scope 1 and 2 carbon neutrality by 2025 (the 90th anniversary of its founding), and Scope 3 carbon neutrality by 2035 (the 100th anniversary of its founding).

The company sought an independent verification and verification opinion as part of its ongoing effort to reduce greenhouse gas emissions throughout its supply chain. Hioki will continue to work towards carbon neutrality based on the results of the verification process.
