  • Multiple measurement functions
  • IP54 dustproof and waterproof enclosure
    Jaws (current sensor portion): IP50
  • Measure DC voltages of up to 1700 V (*1) for open voltage inspections of solar panels
  • Simultaneously measure inrush current in RMS and crest values
  • Expanded -25°C to 65°C operating temperature range
  • Automatic AC/DC function helps boost work efficiency
  • *1:Your instrument can be used to measure voltages in excess of 1000V DC if and only if both of the following conditions are satisfied:
  • 1. The circuit under measurement is isolated from the commercial power grid.
  • 2. The circuit under measurement is isolated from ground.
  • e.g.: When measuring the no-load voltage of an ungrounded PV panel
  • Do not use the instrument with circuits whose terminal-to-ground voltage exceeds 1000V. Doing so may result in electric shock.

Using the Wireless Feature to Display Data on a Mobile Device: How to Use Hioki Clamp Meters

Measured values captured by the Hioki CM4372 and CM4374 AC/DC Clamp Meters can be displayed and saved onto a mobile device wirelessly. The results can also be used to create automatic reports. Simply install the free GENNECT Cross app onto your mobile device and connect to the Hioki clamp meters. Reports created on your mobile device can even be e-mailed to the office to further increase work efficiency.

Current Measurement Function: How to Use the Hioki CM4370 Series Clamp Meters

Learn how to effectively use the current measurement function with this short video.

Auto Hold Function: How to Use the Hioki CM4370 Series Clamp Meters

The Auto Hold feature is perfect in situations where the display is hard to read because the clamped wires are in hard to reach locations. With Auto Hold, measured results automatically freeze on the display until the next measurement starts, making testing and record taking a snap.

Max/Min/AVG/Peak Function: How to Use the Hioki CM4370 Series Clamp Meters

Watch this video to learn how to capture the maximum, minimum, average and peak values of a current signal, available when the AUTO AC/DC mode is not in use.

Simultaneous Display of DC Current and DC Voltage: How to Use the Hioki CM4370 Series Clamp Meters

The CM4370 Series can measure both DC current and DC voltage with a single device at the same time, making it ideal for automotive battery testing and inspection and maintenance of solar panels.

Inrush Measurement Function: How to Use the Hioki CM4370 Series Clamp Meters

Accurately measure the startup or inrush current of motors and equipment. The CM4370 series is engineered to detect the full startup current period and then identify the RMS waveform as well as the highest waveform peak.

Voltage Measurement Function: How to Use the Hioki CM4370 Series Clamp Meters

The DMM function of the AC/DC clamp meter is advanced enough to measure up to 1700V AC/DC. Watch this video to learn more.

Continuity Check Function: How to Use the Hioki CM4370 Series Clamp Meters

The DMM function of the AC/DC clamp meter also provides a continuity check function. Easily detect short-circuits with the clear buzzer and red LED.

AC Voltage Detection Function: How to Use the Hioki CM4370 Series Clamp Meters

The tip of the current sensor of the CM4370 Series can also detect live voltages, eliminating the need for you to use a separate voltage detector. Energized lines are identified with a loud buzzer and red LED on the clamp meter.
