Can temperature sensors be used under water?

The Temperature Sensors LR9601, LR9602, LR9603 and LR9604 cannot be under water. The waterproof-properties of these sensors are "splash-proof."
Do not submerge the LR9601, LR9602, LR9603 and LR9604 in water, as it may cause malfunction.
