Sequence Maker is an add-in for Microsoft Excel that allows you to send and receive communication commands for measuring instruments. It supports all common communication interfaces and allows you to control multiple instruments. In addition, since measurement sequences can be freely configured, automatic control and measurement of measuring instruments can be realized immediately.

How to install and uninstall

How to install
-1. Close Excel if it is running.
-2. Download the installer of Sequence Maker and run it.
-3. Start Excel after installation.
(If the Microsoft Office Customization Installer screen appears, click "Install".)
-4. Confirm that "SEQUENCE MAKER" has been added to the tabs of the ribbon.
(If the "SEQUENCE MAKER" tab disappears from the Excel ribbon, please try reinstalling Sequence Maker.)

How to uninstall
-1. If Excel is running, close all of them.
-2. Open "Apps and Features" in Windows.
-3. Select "HIOKI Sequence Maker" from the list of applications, and click "Uninstall".

How to use

-1. Connect the PC to the measuring instrument
-2. Launch Excel and select the "SEQUENCE MAKER" tab
-3. Configure the interface #1. (①)
-4. Enter the communication command in the Excel sheet. (②)
-5. Select the cell of the command you want to send and press the "Start" button. (③)

Automatically send and receive down to blank cells. If the command contains ? is included in the command, the received data will be output to the right of the command.
Click on the "Manual" of the add-in to see detailed usage instructions.

This add-in can send and receive communication commands with various measuring instruments, but it does not guarantee communication of communication commands with all measuring instruments. Depending on the specifications, data size, or combination of communication commands, it may not be possible to communicate properly. For details of communication commands, please contact the manufacturer of each measuring instrument.
