Inrush current event setting on the Power Quality Analyzer PQ3198/PW3198
QI want to measure inrush current using the PQ3198/PW3198. In the EVENT2-CURRENT screen, there are "Inrush" and "I peak" selections. Which one is more appropriate to capture inrush current at 5A instantaneous peak?

Both are able to detect and capture the event waveform, though the detection timing is slightly different due to the differing threshold definitions:
Inrush: Detect when the current RMS value (half cycle) is 5A or higher.
I peak: Detect when the waveform peak is 5A or higher.
