Insulated conductor
Capture High-frequency Waveforms with Unmatched Stability
The CT6704 and CT6705 are next-generation current probes using fluxgate sensing technology.
They reduce thermal drift and suppress heat in high-current, high-frequency measurements. This enables safer, more stable waveform observation and gives you confidence in critical design decisions.
Key Features
- DC to 30 MHz bandwidth
- Up to 200 A measurable current
- Low drift with fluxgate sensing
- Expanded operating range for high-current, high-frequency measurement
- Standard BNC output for all kinds of oscilloscopes

Capture fast switching transitions with total fidelity
In SiC and GaN applications, even the smallest parasitic ripple can compromise your design. The CT6704 and CT6705 provide the wide bandwidth necessary to see the "true" waveform for example during double-pulse testing.
By eliminating measurement-induced distortion, you can accurately characterize switching losses and validate your power converter's reliability with absolute certainty.
Less heat at induction heating
Thermal comparison under high-frequency, high-current conditions
High-frequency current measurement can generate inductive heating inside the probe, which may limit usable conditions and increase risk during demanding tests.
The CT6704 and CT6705 are designed to significantly reduce inductive heating, helping engineers measure high-frequency, high-current waveforms more safely and stably.
- Note:Both models are compared under the same conditions. The image is the result of a thermal camera measurement.
Extended high-frequency measurement range
Measure under harsher conditions with less concern about overheating or frequency derating limitations.
The CT6704 and CT6705 extend the practical operating range for engineers working with high-frequency, large-current applications.
Stable waveforms, even during long measurements
Thanks to its fluxgate-based sensing technology, the CT6704 and CT6705 reduce the effects of self-heating that can cause waveform drift during long measurements. This helps you maintain stable waveform observation over time, even when ambient temperature changes or measurement duration increases.
Flexible operation across oscilloscope platforms
Use the same current probe across different oscilloscope brands and lab environments. This helps reduce vendor lock-in, improve equipment flexibility, and support more cost-efficient lab operations.
In addition, the probes can be connected directly to the Hioki MR6000 Memory HiCorder, which provides built-in sensor power supply and enables a fully integrated Hioki solution for waveform measurement and recording.
