As for version upgrade procedure, please download "Procedure on how to update the firmware" which describes the preparation and procedure for upgrading firmware after downloading the files.
Precaution when upgrading firmware:
・During the version upgrade process, don't turn off the power to the instrument. Turning power off will result in failure to upgrade the instrument, and the instrument must be returned to the Hioki factory for repair.
About Firmware
The current newest firmware versions are shown below. A version upgrade is highly recommended if you are running older firmware.
・Instrument Firmware : V1.50
・Plug-in Module Firmware : M7100,M7102 V1.00, M7103 V1.01
・Plug-in Module FPGA : M7100,M7102,M7103 V1.00
* POWER MEASUREMENT MODULE M7103 is supported with Instrument Firmware V1.50 or later.
How to check the version number
After connecting to the LR8101 or LR8102 via LAN using the method described in “How to upgrade the Firmware”, check each version by going to "Control Mode" -> "UPGRADE" or “UPDATE”.

Improvement
1.POWER MEASUREMENT MODULE M7103 is now supported.
2.When the module configuration is changed, the channel settings are no longer initialized if the module type is the same before and after the change.
3.Other functional improvements have been made.
Resolved bugs
1.Fixed a problem where the LAN2 port number referenced when creating an A2L file was set incorrectly.
2.Fixed a problem where continuous operation was not possible when repeatedly sending *RST commands.
3.Fixed other minor problems.
