As for version upgrade procedure, please download "Procedure on how to update the firmware" which describes the preparation and procedure for upgrading firmware after downloading the files.
The upgradefile is common to MR8847A.
Precaution when updating firmware:
・To conduct the version upgrade, USB memory stick is required.
・During the version upgrade process, don't turn off the power to the MR8847A or don't remove the USB memory stick from the slot.

The current newest firmware versions are shown below. A version update is highly recommended if you are running older firmware.

Before you proceed
The version numbers of firmware can be checked by viewing the bottom left portion of the startup window when the MR8847A is turned on.
When selecting "System Information" from "Self check" on System screen, the currently running firmware version numbers will appear at the bottom.

1.Fixed a bug where an LVDS lock error would be displayed on the screen and operation would become impossible if a specific value was input to the logic unit when the power was turned on.
2.Fixed a bug where the envelope wave print became faint when performing realtime printing for a long time in a slow range of 10 min/div or more.

1.2A/2V mode is now automatically recognized when a 2A rated current sensor is connected to the U8977.

1.Fixed a bug where some of the odd channels would have incorrect data when performing waveform calculations with either U8975, U8977, or U8978 installed.

・When reading a waveform file that has been measured/saved on a main unit that includes any of the U8975, U8977, or U8978 and other measurement units, the following phenomenon occurs in the data of the latter.
- Waveform values are incorrect when the time axis is displayed compressed to 1/10 or more, or compressed to print at 1/50 or more.
- The recalculated values of numerical calculations (maximum value, minimum value, time to maximum value, time to minimum value, p-p) are incorrect.
- The wrong position is the search result in the trigger search.

・Fixed the bug that the waveform data becomes wrong value with a probability of 1/8 when the measurement is stopped while the external sampling signal is not input when the roll mode is OFF.
・Fixed the bug that if the AAF setting was ON on the 8968, the value would be incorrect at the first measurement after changing the setting on the "Each Channel" screen.
・Fixed the bug that the data measured at terminals 3 and 4 of the 4CH unit (U8975, U8977, U8978) was not saved in the waveform file in the recorder function.When reading the modified file with V2.00 and V2.01, an incorrect waveform is displayed. Please upgrade to V2.02.

Resolved bugs
・When the "Disp Clear" setting is turned off in the XY recorder function, the signal generation control method of the waveform generation unit is set to "Sync.", and measurement is started, the key does not work and the measurement cannot be stopped.
