RGB LASER METER TM6102
Definitively Measure the White in Laser Displays - Specially Designed for RGB Lasers
Discontinued
The RGB LASER METER TM6102 evaluates the white balance of displays that use lasers by measuring centroid wavelength and optical power, which are key characteristics in the evaluation of laser light sources, using the proprietary Discrete Centroid Wavelength Method, a new technique for directly measuring the centroid wavelength and optical power of laser light sources. Applications include processes designed to adjust and inspect RGB lasers used in automotive head-up displays and head-mounted displays by measuring radiant illumination, centroid wavelength, illuminance, and chromaticity.
Achieve Both the Measurement Performance of a Spectrometer and the Convenient Usability of a Colorimeter in a Single Device
The Hioki TM6102, TM6103 and TM6104 RGB laser light measurement instruments measures both the centroid wavelength and optical power of each wavelength of a RGB composite at the same time. Set the tolerance levels for photometric quantity and chromaticity to the target range of to automatically calculate the adjustment range
Set the target and tolerance range of photometric quantity and chromaticity levels and and the revolutionary devices will use the innovative White Balance Adjustment Assistance function to match the specified range of each RGB wave’s level of emission.

A comment from the Good Design Award 2017
“Hioki invented the Discrete Centroid Wavelength Method for instruments used to measure laser light sources, a technology that promises to boost productivity in the manufacture of displays by speeding up the white balance adjustment process, which has previously required skill and experience. This award recognizes a waste-free, functional design that allows the instrument to be easily aligned with the laser’s optical axis from the side simply by aligning a mark on the enclosure with the beam.”
