Nagano, Japan, August 20, 2026—Hioki E.E. Corporation today announced the release of GENNECT Space Version 1.5, the latest update to its SF4300 measurement data integration software for Windows.
GENNECT Space brings real-time data from compatible Hioki instruments together with synchronized video and GPS information into a single workspace. With Version 1.5, GENNECT Space’s measurement capabilities have been extended with the addition of several key features that allow engineers to review, compare and export recorded data more efficiently.
Version 1.5 adds native MEM and BIN file import, dashboard-style displays, statistics panels, and ASAM MDF 4.2 export capabilities, allowing engineers to review saved instrument data, compare test runs, calculate statistics for selected ranges, and transfer logging data to established external analysis tools while keeping measurement results and test context connected.

Development Background

Engineers testing mobility, energy, and industrial equipment increasingly need to capture fast-changing electrical signals alongside temperature, CAN, video, GPS, and other data. With GENNECT Space, they can connect up to 30 instruments and record up to 3,000 measurement items at intervals as short as 1 ms.

Once a test is recorded, engineers still must open files from each instrument separately, align and compare results across runs, calculate values by hand, and convert data for downstream analysis — steps that add file handling and can obscure the link between a measurement and the conditions under which it was recorded.

The more manual steps engineers take with their data, the easier it is to lose track of what that data means. Hioki developed Version 1.5 to bring more of engineers’ work into a single analysis environment, so they can import, compare, calculate and export logging data in standardized formats without leaving GENNECT Space.

Key Features

1. Spend less time preparing recorded data for review

GENNECT Space V1.5 imports MEM waveform files from the MR6000 Memory HiCorder, LR8450 Memory HiLogger, and LR8101 and LR8102 Data Loggers. It also imports BIN measurement and waveform files from the PW8001 and PW4001 Power Analyzers. When a file is imported, GENNECT Space reads the stored instrument and channel information and associates it with the corresponding data for review and analysis.

2. See differences between measurement results more clearly

Engineers can open analysis views in separate GENNECT Space windows and place them across a monitor or dual-display setup to compare prototypes, test conditions, or current data against historical maintenance records.

3. Check changing measurement status more quickly

Dashboard-style displays, including analog meter and level bar panels, present changing values at a glance. Configurable thresholds and color changes help users identify when a value remains within an expected range or approaches an abnormal condition. The Statistics panel calculates mean, maximum, minimum, peak-to-peak, and standard deviation for the entire data set or a range selected with the A and B cursors. Engineers can then export the results as CSV or paste them directly into Microsoft Excel.

4. Expanded workflow integration

Users can export logging data as ASAM MDF 4.2 files (.mf4), including instrument and channel metadata. Exported data can be used in external analysis environments such as ETAS INCA, Vector CANape, NI DIAdem, imc FAMOS, MATLAB, and Python libraries.

Compatible Instruments and Future Expansion

The Version 1.5 file-import functions support the MR6000, LR8450, LR8101, LR8102, PW8001, and PW4001. Requirements for real-time measurement, instrument control, and supported instrument firmware vary by model; current details are provided on the product page.
Hioki plans to expand GENNECT Space functions and instrument compatibility in future releases.
