POWER METER PW3335

Measure AC/DC Standby Power Up to Large Power Loads

Hioki benchtop power meters and power analyzers are best in class power measuring instruments for measuring single to three-phase lines with a high degree of precision and accuracy. The PW3335 delivers high measurement accuracy and handles currents with higher crest values in lower current ranges (i.e., high crest factors) while minimizing the effects of power factor to greatly help reduce power measurement uncertainty, especially critical when the measured standby power is at μA levels.

Greater accuracy for standby power

The PW3335 Power Meter delivers a range configuration that lets you measure extremely low power levels with a margin to spare. Accuracy can be set from 10 μA and up for current, and 0 W and up for effective power. Perfect for measurements according to IEC62301 and other standards.

Support for CF6 (Crest Factor 6)

When an AC adapter or switching power supply operates with no load, the crest factor of the current waveform increases. The PW3335 can measure waveforms that exceed the range of watt meters that support crest factor 3.
In addition, although the power factor is low during no-load operation, the PW3335 is affected very little by power factor and can therefore achieve accurate measurements.

Power Factor Effect of 0.1% or Less, Even at Low Power Factors

A no-load loss test is one indicator for evaluating energy conservation for transformers and motors.
The PW3335 are affected very little by power factor, at ±0.1% f.s. or less, allowing active power to be measured with a high level of accuracy at low power factors.
