Values differ significantly depending on the measurement range. (AC Leakage Clamp Meter)
QWhy do AC Leakage Clamp Meter readings sometimes differ significantly from range to range, or have different readings from other/different AC Leakage Clamp Meter models? (CM4001, CM4002, CM4003)
A
When measuring the AC Leakage Clamp Meter with the low-pass filter ON, it may display a lower value than the actual value. This is because if the current being measured contains large harmonic components above the range, the harmonic components may not be able to remove.
This symptom occurs especially when using the auto range measurements, because the range goes up in order from the lowest range.
When this symptom occurs, use the manual range to move to the upper range for measurement.
For example, if the 60.00 mA range and the 600.0 mA range displays a significantly different value, the upper range measured at 600.0 mA is the correct value.
