As for version upgrade procedure, please download "Procedure on how to update the firmware" which describes the preparation and procedure for upgrading firmware after downloading the files.

Precaution when updating firmware:
・To conduct the version upgrade, a SD card is required.
・During the version upgrade process, don't turn off the power to the PQ3100 or don't remove the SD card from the slot. Turning power off will result in failure to upgrade the PQ3100 and the instrument must be returned to the Hioki factory for repair.

Version Upgrade History

V2.32 (February 2024)
-1. Updated Simplified Chinese font data.

V2.31 (May 2023)
-1. Improvements for production and inspection in the factory.

V2.30 (October 2019)
1. Added functions
-1. Compatibility to GENNECT One.

V2.20 (August 2018)
1. Fixed bugs
-1. When configuring E-mail settings in the [SET UP 7/7] screen, it was found that using 20 characters for the sender or E-mail authentication account prevented the E-mail from being sent.  This has been fixed.
-2. When using French as the display language, the instructions for authentication settings in the [SETUP 7/7] FTP Setting Screen showed FPT rather than FTP.  This has been fixed.
2. Added functions
-1. Compatibility to GENNECT Cross for Windows.
3. Enhancements
-1. In the [FILE 1/2] screen, pressing the F1 key allows you to eject the SD card.  This operation has been rendered unavailable during remote operation.

V2.10 (December 2017)
1. Fixed bugs
-1. Corrected spelling mistakes for the RS-232C connection settings in Italian, Spanish and Turkish.
-2. Fixed the screen shot in the help instructions for harmonic calculation method.
2. Enhancements
-1. Increased the memory capacity requirements when loading a version update file to 8MB.
-2. After conducting a factory reset and setting the default language to Korean and only Korean, the RS-232C connection destination settings can no longer be edited.

V2.00 (August 2017)
1. Fixed bugs
-1. When the Recording Start Method is set to "Repeat" and the time period is set to 0:00 to 24:00, and measurement begins with the Event List displayed on the screen, a warning "Cannot Load File" was found to show.
-2. When display language is set to Simplified Chinese, and the F1 key is pressed during the EVENT MONITOR Screen to select a screen, the text "Event Trend Data" shifted 1 character space.
-3. In the Event Setting screen of QUICK SET whereby the EN50160 is selected under the Easy Settings course, until the threshold settings for power interruptions are selected and confirmed, an incorrect display appeared.
-4. If the display format for power was previously set to less than 0.0000mW and the PQ3100’s power is turned on, a backup error occurred.
-5. During recording, when QUICK SET is pressed, some characters were missing in the "Main Settings" window.
-6. If the unit is operated so that a dialog window appears during the opening screen, part of the display appeared incorrectly.
-7. When the recording interval is set to 200ms or 600ms, because the cursor time and the time scale on the time axis differ in the trend screen, as with 150/180 cycle, the time axis scale could not be displayed.
-8. When using Repeat Recording, the event search was sometimes not normal.
2. Added functions
-1. Support for Demand measurements.
-2. Support for Flicker measurements.
-3. Support for RVC events.
-4. Added a new Event Statistics screen.
-5. Added a new measurement value Zoom screen.
-6. Added a new Harmonics trend screen.
-7. Added the ability to set harmonic voltage content % limits.
-8. Added transient waveform display of transient events.
-9. Added the Polish language display.
-10. Added an FTP server function.
-11. Added an automatic FTP data send function.
-12. Added an E-mail function.
-13. Added a DHCP function.
-14. Added a DNS function.
-15. Added the ability to read a screen file.
-16. Added 3P4W2.5E to the list of available measurable circuits.
-17. Added compatibility to the LR8410 Link communication function.
3. Enhancements
-1. On the trend screen, waveforms containing polarities will show the 0 of the Y-axis scale at an appropriate position so that the reference position of the waveform is easier to identify.
-2. The power interruption threshold is now limited so as to not exceed the threshold of a dip.
-3. For each dip, swell, power interruption and inrush current evet, the threshold+hysterisis are now included in the OUT comparison area.
-4. In a 3P3W3M circuit, because U4 is not measured, the trend graph will not show the U4 voltage waveform and "No data" will be acknowledged.
-5. For the hysterisis of dips, swells, and power interruptions, instead of the threshold, the % of the nominal voltage can now be set.
-6. In the Event Setting screen under Quick Set, when choosing EN50160 under the Easy Settings course, similar to selecting to detect Voltage Events, when the input voltage is not more than 3% of the voltage range, the THD (Voltage) event will be turned OFF.
-7. In the File screen, an information field has been added for the file, representing a summary of the measured data.
-8. When switching to the EVENT MONITOR 9/9 Event trend data screen from other screens, the cursor position has been moved to the 0.5s position.
-9. When displaying the EVENT MONITOR, the HOLD status is now cleared.
-10. For each TREND screen, the cursor positions are now all directly linked.
-11. In the MONITOR 6/8 Vector screen where the display method can be selected for the phase angle (±180/Lag360), depending on the settings, despite a "Level" setting, the reference source can be changed LAG360. This has now been fixed. (This is simply a display issue and does not affect the vector diagram.)
-12. If the File/Directory does not exist, delete operation is no longer available.
-13. After a factory reset, the internal memory will now be formatted during the opening screen with a "Formatting…" message displayed, rather than formatting in the FILE screen.
