VOLTAGE DETECTOR Non-Metallic Contact Voltage Detector with LED Light Hioki leads the industry in non-metallic contact test and measurement technology that promotes safety on the worksite. The Hioki 3481 is a pen-style, non-metallic contact voltage detector with a bright LED light that promotes safety and work efficiency even in dim worksites. When voltage is detected, the LED lights red along with an audio signal.

Thanks to a compact, lightweight design, it’s easy to use this instrument anywhere. The absence of any exposed metal in the sensor enables safe measurement.

Light designed to facilitate use in dim locations

The tip of the instrument incorporates a light, which is convenient when you need to check area being measured or your work area when it’s dark.

Functionality for adjusting sensitivity based on the operating environment

The instrument’s detection sensitivity can be adjusted within the range of 40 V to 80 V AC.

PLC stands for Power Line Cycle, where 1 PLC is equivalent to the duration of one cycle of the
power being supplied to the instrument. In areas with 50 Hz power, 1 PLC = 1/50 = 20 ms, while
in areas with 60 Hz power, 1 PLC = 1/60 = 16.7 ms.
In the Precision DC Voltmeter DM7275, the unit of integration time can be selected between either "ms" or "PLC".

<Performance Check>
Inspect the instrument carefully to ensure that there is no damage.
For details, please refer to the instruction manual.

<Detection>
Turn on the switch. Place the detector to the object to be measured when the white LED is lit. If the object to be measured has multiple wires, perform voltage detection to each individual wire (Check several points for bundled wires).
Active power state: Red LED flashes and the buzzer sounds.
