Analysis of irregularities in phone lines

To cope with customers with analog lines complaining that they fail to connect to a dialed party, the following can be performed. Recording and retaining the correct dial waveform for each dial number in advance makes it possible to distinguish a dial by comparing it with these retained waveforms.
In the case of dedicated lines, if the normal audio level exceeds a certain value, the call will be interrupted after the condition has continued for a certain time.
When complaints that calls are interrupted inappropriately are received, the MEMORY HiCORDER can be used to measure and record the level during calls. When the signal exceeding the specified
time interval and level has been recorded by this measurement, it is possible to identify the cause of the problem, e.g., excessive ambient noise, etc.

Test of charge retention of new types of high- performance batteries

Currently, alkaline manganese batteries are widely used as primary batteries, lithium-ion, nickel-hydrogen and high-performance NiCd batteries as secondary batteries in the power supply for portable devices. These batteries are gradually replacing other standard types of batteries and finding application in new fields as they are becoming
cheaper and offer longer operating time. It is necessary to conduct battery life tests, charge retention tests and operating time tests of these batteries for each of the different portable devices in which they are employed.
Using a MEMORY HiCORDER makes it a simple procedure to record the changes in voltage over a long period. By using a wave processor and utility disks the data can be converted to data compatible with spreadsheet software, allowing graphic processing.
