President's Message

Striving to Enhance Corporate Value with Customer-based Strategies
Tatsuyoshi Yoshiike Since our founding in 1935, HIOKI E. E. Corporation has been focusing on electrical measuring instruments development, production and sales. In the initial phase of our history, HIOKI mass-produced electrical indicating meters and circuit testers. After the bubble burst in the 1970s, we underwent modernization of management and transformed our business style from a quantity-oriented to a quality-oriented structure. Today, we strive to efficiently and effectively respond to the customer’s quickly changing needs by providing approximately 200 kinds of products that make up 4 product segments.

Recently, the economic situation has become unstable both at home and abroad. This has resulted in the customers’ lack of motivation for investment in plant and equipment. Indeed, our business environment has become increasingly severe.

However, I believe that current conditions also present the very best time for us to return to the basic principles of business - to develop products and provide services from the customers’ point of view. The issues we should focus upon are the fundamental ideas such as why customers purchase our product over our competitors, and what is necessary to help customers resolve their measurement needs. Adhering to these principles of business more than ever before, we will all strive as one to enhance our corporate value.
