Nature of Revision |
| The construction of the fuse holder surrounding the current measurement terminal will be revised so that the inner edge of the red fuse holder is an additional 1mm away from the metal fixture within. To distinguish between the previous design and the new fuse holder, two shallow grooves will appear at the two locations 90 degrees from the existing deeper grooves. Please see the diagrams below. HIOKI is confident that the safety characteristics will be enhanced as a result of this design change, in accordance with the EN61010-1:2001 safety standard |

When will the new fuse holder be incorporated? |
| The new fuse holder will be incorporated in all of the above models shipped from July 26, 2006. The new fuse holder will be incorporated in all of the above models shipped from July 26, 2006. |

| Because this is only a structural design revision, measurement results will not be affected. |

How can I have my instrument serviced incorporate the new fuse holder? |
- HIOKI will voluntarily replace the fuse holder for the current measurement terminal on all Models 3156, 3238 and 3239 submitted to us for standard repair and calibration with a new fuse holder incorporating the revised design.
- Customers using Models 3156, 3238 and 3239, and wishing to have their instrument(s) serviced should contact their local authorized HIOKI distributor for further information.
