HIOKI E.E. CORPORATION has developed upgraded successors to the Model 8860 and 8861 MEMORY HICORDERs, to be available from August 2007.
We have renovated our popular Model 8860 and 8861 MEMORY HiCORDERs with greater memory capacity and expanded ranges for multi-channel logging and isolated recording at up to 20 MS/s. A broad selection of plug-in input modules support a wide range of measurement parameters, and the thermal printer supports both A4- and A6-size paper. Keyboard and mouse operability has been greatly enhanced. A faster CPU has been incorporated for quicker response and screen refreshing three times faster than the former models. The new models are ideal for a broad range of applications, from operating analysis and evaluation testing of inverters to temperature measurement on up to 128 channels.
Depending on the intended application, internal memory boards and input modules need to be purchased separately when ordering. HIOKI is targeting combined annual sales of 700 units of these new models. |

| Overview |
 |
Many types of instruments such as oscilloscopes for measuring very fast signals, paper recorders for moderately fast and slow signal fluctuations, and multi-channel loggers for recording slowly changing signals have been offered by other companies. These new HIOKI MEMORY HiCORDERs are positioned as general-coverage waveform recorders capable of recording a very broad range of fast to slowly changing signals, and even simultaneously measuring at the speed of a moderately fast oscilloscope while recording slowly changing signals as a multi-channel data logger.
Multiple channels of slowly changing temperature and voltage trend graphs can be displayed while simultaneously monitoring electrical signals up to several MHz, so measurements that previously had to be taken separately with an oscilloscope and logger can now be captured by a single instrument. |

| Advantages |
 |
- Enhanced operating response - With the introduction of a faster CPU, operating response and screen refresh are three times quicker than earlier models, promising more comfortable operation.
- Three USB 2.0 ports - The convenience of USB memory, keyboard and mouse are improved by the expansion to three ports and support for the widely popular Hi-Speed USB 2.0.
- REC&MEM function - While recording long-term trends, unpredictable phenomena are also recorded by triggering high-speed sampling. This function is ideal when you need to capture anomalies while simultaneously monitoring long-term trends.
- Enhanced waveform search function - The increased installed memory greatly enhances your ability to find a particular part of a recorded long-term waveform to view. All of the trigger functions of the instrument can be enlisted to search waveforms, so desired segments can be quickly found even when buried in a large quantity of waveform data. You can also enter event marks while recording, making them easy to find later when finished measuring.
- Improved display visibility - The internal LCD has been upgraded to provide a wider viewing angle, resulting in much better visibility during use.
- High-voltage input module (available soon) - We have developed a compatible high-voltage input module that handles up to 1000 VDC. Voltages of inverters and other high-voltage components such as those now used in hybrid cars can be directly measured. High-voltage measurements that could only be performed using a differential probe with earlier models can now be made at low cost.
